GENERAL TECHNOLOGIES INC
The Material Handler operates a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. This position is responsible for assuring that resin will always be delivered promptly to the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
Locate and transport resins to production
Verify resin labels are correct and match material requisitions
Weigh resins that are going to production or warehouse
Maintain accurate paperwork
Unload trucks, take samples and label resins
Blending resins for production
Visually inspect forklifts for damage or hydraulic leaks, verify horn is in good working
condition and the backup alarm is working before the start of each shift
Comply with company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices
Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment
Monthly inventory
Reports to shift supervisor
Requirements:
Must be able to pass our forklift training certification tests (driving and written)
Must be able to identify resins
Must be able to operate blending equipment
Must be able to work overtime when scheduled
Must be able to read and write English
Attendance must be 98% or better
High school diploma is preferred but not required
Must follow safety guidelines on or off the forklift
Attention to detail, team work, and communication skills required
Ability to be trained to operate industrial equipment
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 6:45am-3:15pm
Must be flexible; overtime and working on weekends may occur
