Leasing Assistant

for our Property Management department. Position Description : The Leasing Assistant will work closely with the leasing manager and intake team to complete all leasing in a timely manner. Required : High School Diploma Preferred : 2-4 Years college education, National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) certification, Tax Credit Certification. Required License/Certification : Valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle; this position will require travel within the DC area. Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of tax credit compliance and DCHA Excellent Customer Service Knowledge of OneSite and Kwik Tag (electronic filing systems) Must be well organized and detail-oriented Must be able to work well under pressure Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills Assist with applications- Ensure all application documents are complete and correct. Submit tax credit documents to Windsor, complete required corrections Conducting move-in inspections Upload applications to Kwiktag and enter applicant information into Onesite Able to work independently Expected Contributions: Leasing Set up a time to meet with new applicants by phone/email in an attempt to schedule lease ups meetings. Conduct a daily review with the leasing supervisor of the applicant list. Once approved, schedule the move-in date with the prospect and property management and inform the social service team via the communication log. Ensure unit quality check is done prior to move-in. Report on lease-up progress weekly, and ensure intake staff have a good understanding of referrals needs. Pull vacancy reports and ensure vacant units will be filled before the lease-up deadline. Meet with the leasing manager weekly to review reports. As requested, schedule on-site unit and property tours with property management staff and note scheduled tour times in the communication log. When possible, the on-site property management staff person should assist the prospect with lease-up documentation. Ensure the lease-up packer is available (saved in Kwiktag) and complete. Support prospects in completing lease-up packers during lease-up meetings. Submit subsidy applications and tax credit packets to compliance for approval and make corrections as required. Review lease-up packets for completeness and accuracy. Enter applicant information into Onesite, and create the TIC. Environmental Working Conditions: This position is in an office setting. This office may or may not include individual heating and air conditioning controls. This office may or may not include a window.
