Job Summary

Our client is seeking an accomplished Design Engineer to develop 2D and 3D designs used to manufacture injection mold tooling, fixtures, and end-of-arm tooling. This role is also open to experienced mold makers looking for a new opportunity in tooling design.

Key Responsibilities

Design production and prototype tooling and fixtures considering annual part volume, cycle time, quoted mold specifications, and tooling budgets. Create 2D prints of highly critical dimensional areas and general tooling layout packets. Present completed designs for review internally and externally with the customer present. Assist sales and project engineering groups with design for manufacturing issues and part improvements. Perform mold CAE analysis, including filling, cooling, and warpage. Qualifications

Minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience in Plastic Injection Molding 3D Modeling experience, preferably SolidWorks Prior Mold Making and/or Design experience FEA analytical experience in Mold Flow, or SolidWorks Simulation is a plus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must have excellent organizational skills and a high level of follow-through Self-motivated Ability to work with individuals at all levels Education

Completion of skilled trades training applicable to plastics industry Two- or four-year degree preferred Additional Requirements

Regularly required to sit and use hands Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, potential of up to 25 pounds Exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.) Benefits
