Sr. Analyst, Benefits
Chicago - Onsite 5 days per week
Position Summary As a member of the Benefits team, the Senior Analyst, Benefits will primarily be responsible for taking the lead on various projects, testing and analytics for the Benefits team.
Responsibilities
Support strategic initiatives and administrative processes related to US benefits across our team's business segments
Primary lead for various Benefits projects; predominantly related to leave of absence but inclusive of all Benefits areas
Maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise of our US benefits plans and vendors inclusive of all health and welfare, leave of absence and retirement plans
Works closely with Executives, Managers and HR to provide proactive project status updates to all involved parties
Drafts communications that clearly state the leave administration and absence management policies and procedures
Acts as the subject matter expert on all aspects of leave, including but not limited to STD, LTD ADA, FMLA, Paid Parental Leave, Military, Jury Duty, Medical, etc.
Ensure compliance with Federal and State and local leave laws
Ensures 3rd party vendors apply appropriate standards per company, legal, federal, and state requirements to resolve routine and complex cases and issues; predominantly related to leave of absence
Collaborates with 3rd party vendors to ensure policy and plan changes are implemented, required documentation is updated and necessary amendments/plan docs are updated
Leads overall management reporting for leave management leveraging multiple systems to prepare metrics and measurement reports for team and leadership
In close collaboration with the HRIS team, leads testing, analytics and system audits related to Workday functionality and various Benefits initiatives
Working with the HRIS team, leads requirements updates and testing for various Benefits integration files
Gathers and interprets data to deliver actionable insights while considering a broad range of interdependent issues.
Develops training materials and other communications to promote consistent and accurate application of benefit plans
Researches and evaluates complex employee benefit issues; develops effective solutions and options and communicates directly to employees advising options
Assists the team in developing new and revised processes, procedures, and form templates, as needed
Acts as a change agent to drive process improvements as business needs evolve
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
5 years of experience working with HR systems for Benefits/Leave of Absence administration (Workday or equivalent)
Subject matter expertise in various leave categories
