Job Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) Full-Time position working 7 Hours per Day, 09 Months per Year.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Special Education, assists certificated staff in educational activities for students requiring speech therapy; assist in the screening of students; provide drill, practice and production of correct speech sounds and grammar; monitor corrected speech and language of students; assist in the preparation of documents and reports; responsibly perform a variety of instructional services and clerical support activities within a well-defined framework of policies, procedures and objectives; report progress of students to the Speech Therapist; use sound judgment and initiative in working with students; and performs related duties as assigned.
SPECIAL NOTE: Some positions require fluency in a language other than English. If fluency (written and spoken) in another language is required, that position may be required to translate written materials and information to go home to non-English speaking parents or guardians, interpret for non-English speaking parents or guardians during conferences, or in phone conversations, and interact with the non-English speaking community providing translations as necessary.
