Your Responsibilities Executing thorough assessments of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic examinations, and crafting tailored care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health challenges in collaboration with physicians or independently (according to your credentials) Providing education to patients and their families on preventive care, health promotion, and disease management Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your designated authority Taking part in follow-up care and chronic disease management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, holistic treatment Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation within electronic medical record systems (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program Certifications Needed
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Skills That Set You Apart
