Purpose: As a Level 1 Business Development Representative (BDR) at CharacterStrong, you play a crucial role within our Sales Team. Working alongside Inbound and Outbound Sales Representatives, your primary responsibility is to drive growth by generating leads and supporting the sales process. You will set meetings, follow up on inquiries, and contribute to achieving regional revenue targets. Additionally, your dedication to customer retention and values-driven interactions helps build strong, lasting relationships with our clients. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will enhance our efforts to deliver CharacterStrong solutions to schools and districts, furthering CharacterStrong's mission.

Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track warm and hot leads, as well as follow up multiple times. Research and strategize to find new leads in identified areas of the region. Work with the sales team to make outbound phone calls to schedule face-to-face & virtual appointments. This includes establishing long-term relationships with the sales team member(s) and getting to know territory-specific differences/needs. Effectively keep a record of weekly activities and sales opportunities created. Work with the assigned Sales Teams to strategize each month on which districts to focus and follow up with to bring CharacterStrong's curriculum and training resources to their district and or school. Actively contribute ideas that grow CharacterStrong through weekly, quarterly, and annual meetings. Research and identify target contacts for event invitations, create and execute targeted outreach campaigns, and track registrations to assess customer status and product usage. Support and follow up with all, conference/stage, and webinar leads to get them to take the next step. Strong relationship-building skills Effective written and verbal communication skills The ability to both call and email prospective customers on a daily basis. Extremely organized and consistent with strong attention to detail. Thrives in an upbeat, fast-paced environment. Produces timely, quality results and consistently asks the question, "How can I make this 1% better?" Efficient with CRM's, Google and Microsoft Suite applications, and other business apps like: Slack, Zoom, Notion, HubSpot preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. 2 years in a school setting preferred. Benefits Package
