Adopt a senior for lawn maintenance! Hearts for Homes serves very low-income senior homeowners in Denton County with free home repairs and lawn care during grass-cutting season. Hours are flexible to fit your schedule! **Please Note: This is a volunteer interest form, not an application to volunteer. Please visit our website and complete the appropriate application. You can volunteer once your application is approved. Hearts for Homes is a Christian outreach providing hope and dignity through home rehabilitation and maintenance, helping low-income seniors aged 60 and over to live in safe, comfortable, and well-maintained homes as they age in place. 1. How can volunteers help? Volunteers are essential to Hearts for Homes, providing thousands of hours of direct service through our Home Repair and Case Management Programs. If you feel called to support seniors in Denton County, please complete our online application. Once you complete the application, we will contact you to get started! 3. What can volunteers do during a shift? Provide lawn-mowing services for seniors during grass-cutting season according to your schedule. If you have lawn equipment and can travel, wed love to connect you with a senior for regular lawn care. This involves a long-term commitment.
