Home Improvement Social Services: Seniors Mowing Senior Homeowner Lawns

Adopt a senior for lawn maintenance! Hearts for Homes serves very low income senior homeowners in Denton County with free home repairs and lawn care assistance during grass-cutting season. Hours are flexible to fit your schedule. **Please Note: This is a volunteer interest form, not an application to volunteer. Please visit our website and fill out the appropriate application. You can volunteer once your application is approved. Hearts for Homes is a Christian outreach providing hope and dignity through home rehabilitation and maintenance, helping low-income seniors aged 60 and over to live in a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained home as they age in place. 1. How can volunteers help? Volunteers are essential to Hearts for Homes, offering thousands of hours of direct, hands-on service to seniors through our Home Repair or Case Management Programs. If you feel called to assist seniors in Denton County, please complete our online application. Once your application is submitted, we will connect with you to start volunteering! 3. What do volunteers do during a shift? Provide lawn-mowing services for homeowners during grass-cutting season according to your schedule. If you have lawn equipment and can travel, we would love to match you with a senior for regular lawn care. This involves a long-term commitment.
