EHS Coordinator
Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator (Bilingual - Spanish) needed in Arlington, TX! 1st Shift - Pay: $28.00 - $35.00/hr (Based on Experience & Qualifications) A leading metal manufacturing facility is seeking a bilingual (Spanish) Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join its team on 1st shift. This is a hands-on role responsible for promoting a safe and compliant workplace through routine safety audits, regulatory adherence, and employee engagement. The EHS Coordinator will support and enforce environmental, health, and safety initiatives in alignment with company protocols and applicable state and federal regulations. Regular walk-throughs, participation in safety meetings, and direct interaction with staff are critical parts of this position. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and audit environmental, health, and safety programs to maintain regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvement. Monitor employee adherence to internal safety policies; ensure timely reporting and documentation of near misses and safety incidents. Conduct daily inspections and walkthroughs to identify and address potential hazards. Coordinate maintenance and repair of safety-related equipment to meet regulatory standards. Perform environmental site evaluations, including air quality and stormwater sampling, and manage emissions reporting. Oversee hazardous waste management and ensure compliance with RCRA standards. Maintain schedules for required safety inspections such as fire systems, extinguishers, and emergency lighting. Organize and deliver monthly safety training sessions specific to the site's operations. Conduct and review Lockout/Tagout procedures, ensuring all authorized personnel are trained and documentation is current. Provide forklift training for new employees and track recertification timelines. Perform other duties as assigned or required based on operational needs. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Solid knowledge of OSHA and ISO standards and requirements. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is essential. CPR and First Aid certification required. Familiarity with accident investigations and job safety analysis procedures. Experience maintaining OSHA records and compliance documentation. OSHA 511 certification is a plus. Forklift and overhead crane trainer certifications are highly desirable.
