Material Handler

Position Summary:
The Material Handler will perform various job duties not limited to shipping, receiving, inventory management, and pulling production orders while providing oversight to the rest of the crew. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Receive all Purchase Orders of electronics components and raw materials using ERP system. Prepare shipping/receiving documents using ERP system. Ship international shipments weekly to offshore facility. Examines incoming shipments against packing slip and communicates with the Purchasing team of any variances. Maintain Inventory cycle counts of components and finish goods. Pulling, counting, and releasing production orders to manufacturing directed by planning. Load and unload shipment from carrier or LTL trucks. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, word, Outlook). Confers with the operations team on status of materials, kits, and logistics. Ensures timeliness of all receiving completed daily. Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to 5S and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) policies. Be back up for key positions (incoming / India shipment, etc.) while others are on PTO. Other duties as assigned. Supervises : None Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong
Computer skills Able to use computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, MRP systems, etc. Firm understanding of computer systems such as ERP / MRP systems, Shipping software, etc. Hand coordination and dexterity. Knowledge of electronics specifications and BOM experience helpful. Ability to work cohesively with peers, engineers, and supervisors. Must be able to work on ITAR data without a license. Education, Experience and Training: GED / High School diploma. Preferred prior training in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP System. Physical Requirements & Working Environment: Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Work in an office environment. Mus be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
