Job Summary: The
Material Handler
is responsible for supporting operations by performing both physical and administrative tasks related to the storage, distribution, and fulfillment of materials, supplies, and equipment. This includes
inventory control, order fulfillment, and coordination with multiple departments
to ensure timely and accurate material flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain
high inventory accuracy
by verifying part numbers, revisions, and counts. Perform material transactions and troubleshoot discrepancies. Pull and prepare materials for production, service, and engineering needs, entering all activity into ERP systems (SAP). Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, and Quality for material disposition and resolution of issues. Support engineering projects, cost center needs, and excess/obsolete inventory transactions. Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory checks, resolving discrepancies and identifying root causes. Provide material analysis and reporting using SAP and Excel. Occasionally assist with
Receiving
(processing POs, RMAs) and
Shipping
(sales/service orders, freight coordination). Required Experience:
1-5 years' experience
in warehousing, shipping, receiving, or supply chain management within a low-volume, high-complexity electronics environment. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably
SAP . Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment. Able to lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally handle heavier material (up to 225 lbs with assistance). High level of accuracy and detail orientation in material transactions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Familiarity with
FedEx, UPS, freight forwarders, and logistics carriers . Strong Excel and Outlook skills; ability to use SharePoint. Experience troubleshooting ERP transactions and reconciling shipment/receiving issues. Flexibility to work extended hours on short notice. Required Skills:
Inventory accuracy and
ERP system proficiency (SAP preferred) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt in a
fast-paced, dynamic environment Preferred Skills:
Experience with material analysis using SAP & Excel Hands-on problem-solving and root cause analysis ability Familiarity with global trade compliance procedures Additional Skills:
