Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Buyer
to join their team onsite in Tualatin, Oregon. This role is critical to ensuring the timely procurement of materials, components, and services necessary for production and operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services in alignment with company needs and budget.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors.
Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as needed.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to support operational goals.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
