Job Summary: Infectious Disease Associates (IDA) seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant to care for patients with general infectious diseases in the outpatient setting, including orthopedic infections, skin and soft tissue infections, recurrent staphylococcal infections, urinary tract infections, post-travel infections, and lyme and other tick-borne infections. Practitioners will become part of a close-knit team with ongoing collaboration and supervision of infectious disease attendings. Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in acute and chronic disease management, compassionate listening skills, and enjoyment working with a team are the most important skills we seek. Research opportunities may be possible in the future. L5: $92,000 - $147,200
