The primary responsibility of the Driver is to transport the physically limited passengers to and from their destinations. This position requires constant interaction with caregivers and community agencies; this position also performs patient care activities and assistance with personal care needs as needed.

Yes Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Driver is to transport the physically limited passengers to and from their destinations. This position requires constant interaction with caregivers and community agencies; this position also performs patient care activities and assistance with personal care needs as needed.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience : High school degree or equivalent. 1 year experience transporting or caring for individuals with special mobility needs or impaired adults.

Must be able to work effectively in a team environment Must be able to operate handicap-accessible vehicles Must meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PHSC and approved by CMS before working independently.

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required : Valid NC Driver's License and an acceptable three-year motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart. Class B or C with passenger endorsement preferred, but not required.

Immunizations:

Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.

Pay Range:

$15.15/Hourly - $20.36/Hourly
