Warehouse Associate

Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to operate various types of equipment safely. Duties Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks for loading and unloading materials. Perform picking and packing duties for order fulfillment while adhering to safety standards. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movements and maintain accurate records within the warehouse management system. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize distribution processes and improve operational efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following best practices in materials handling and packaging. Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with knowledge of inventory management practices. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes, forklifts, and order pickers. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Experience with warehouse management systems (e.G., AS400) is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and engage in physical activities throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for effective stocking and order picking. Knowledge of safety regulations related to warehouse operations, particularly OSHA standards.
