A banking employer is looking for a Loan Processor to join their team onsite on Middletown, CT. The loan processor would be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of loans to the secondary market. They will be responsible for preparing and reviewing loan files to ensure they meet investor requirements and are salable, scheduling deliveries within commitment deadlines, and resolving any errors or replacements. The Loan Processor manages the delivery of all necessary documentation to custodians, follows up on delivery issues to ensure complete funding, and avoids monetary penalties. The processor performs post-closing audits, inputs data into the Loan Origination System (LOS), and ensures investor shipping software is current and accurate. They would also be expected to follow up and close any outstanding documents from closing attorneys - including auditing issues with time frames, avoid repurchase or monetary penalties by ensuring files comply with procedures and regulations. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills and be able to be extremely self-sufficient.

Required Skills & Experience - 2 - 4 years of experience in post-closing, loan auditing, loan shipping or closing area - Product knowledge of all types of mortgage loans - Familiarity with LOS and related programs in the MS suite (Word, Excel, etc) - Knowledge of CT Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) - Knowledge of Fannie/Freddie requirements
