Overview:

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Southeast regional area, supporting both administrative and clinical needs of physicians and licensed medical staff. This role involves assisting with patient vital signs, updating charts, compiling data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, dignity, and well-being. Accurately document patient care and interactions during visits and calls. Collect and process point-of-care, lab, and pathology samples following established policies. Perform quality and safety checks on waived testing equipment and supplies. Provide patient education under provider guidance. Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies as ordered by licensed providers. Assist providers during procedures and examinations, including chaperoning and setup. Handle and prepare reusable instruments for sterilization. Dispose of biohazard and pharmaceutical waste according to OSHA guidelines. Maintain a clean patient care environment by adhering to infection prevention standards. Manage supply stock and instrument availability in designated areas. Perform front desk duties such as greeting patients and scheduling appointments. Assist with coding, billing input, insurance, and quality assurance tasks. Coordinate with external healthcare partners to support patient care plans. Monitor and respond to electronic communications in a timely manner. Conduct components of well visits or physicals as directed. Complete required documentation prior to provider visits. Perform high-level disinfection following policy and manufacturer instructions. Float to other clinics as needed. Education, Training, and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA) required. One year of clinical experience in an outpatient setting preferred. Skills and Abilities:

Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and activate emergency services. Effective communication skills with patients, staff, and providers both in person and via phone. Physical ability to perform clinical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Comfortable with potential exposure to blood or infectious materials.
