We're looking for a skilled Dealership Controller to drive accuracy, accountability, and insight across our operations. In this role, you'll be a trusted partner to leadership-overseeing financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and helping guide big-picture decisions that shape our success. This role provides strategic oversight of financial operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across the organization. Your Responsibilities:
Validate accounting team outputs for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP and company policies. Lead variance, trend, and root cause analysis to support operational decision-making. Foster collaboration between dealerships and corporate functions to ensure financial and operational alignment. Act as liaison for auditors, tax advisors, regulatory agencies, ESOP partners, and the company's dealer management system (DMS) provider. Oversee day-to-day administration of the Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), including compliance, reporting, and coordination with plan administrators. Partner with accounting managers (dealerships and sub-companies) to maintain high standards in financial operations. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 7 to10 years of accounting leadership experience, preferably in automotive retail or a multi-entity environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, dealership accounting practices, and internal controls. Proven experience auditing or reviewing complex financial statements. Proficiency with DMS, ERP, and accounting software. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Valid Driver's License Required
