Fundraising Coordinator Intern (Unpaid, Virtual/Hybrid/In-Person)
Location: Remote (Ohio-based preferred, open to all)
Commitment: Approx. 25 hours/week

Role Description
As the Fundraising Coordinator Intern, you’ll develop and execute fundraising campaigns, engage donors, and identify new opportunities for support. You’ll work closely with the outreach, events, and social media teams to ensure our messaging is clear, compelling, and effective.This internship is eligible for college credit and is ideal for anyone looking to build a future in nonprofit development, communications, or leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage digital and community-based fundraising campaigns
Write compelling appeals for email, social media, and donation platforms
Research and build relationships with potential sponsors, donors, and partners
Track donations, donor info, and campaign performance
Collaborate with the events team on fundraising-focused activities
Brainstorm creative ways to increase donor engagement and giving
Qualifications
Strong writing and communication skills
Strategic thinker with attention to detail
Self-motivated and organized; able to manage multiple tasks remotely
Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Canva, or Givebutter is a plus
Passion for animal rescue and nonprofit work
Prior experience in fundraising or marketing is helpful but not required
