Human Resources Business Partner
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to site leadership and a key driver of HR initiatives that support operational excellence. This role is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The HRBP acts as a consultant on human resource-related issues, providing guidance and support in areas such as talent management, employee relations, organizational development, performance management, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the unique challenges and dynamics of a manufacturing environment, including employee relations, safety culture, and continuous improvement. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. Essential responsibilities include serving as a strategic advisor and coach to site leadership, championing a high-impact talent acquisition process, leading initiatives to enhance employee engagement, providing expert guidance on employee relations issues, managing and resolving complex employee relations matters, maintaining deep knowledge of employment laws and regulations, acting as a trusted resource for employees and managers, utilizing HR data and analytics to identify trends, overseeing the onboarding process, administering employee leaves of absence, and partnering with Environment, Health & Safety to manage workers' compensation cases. Position requirements include a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field; minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, preferably within mid to large-sized manufacturing environments; proven expertise across core HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, training and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee relations; strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices; excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization; experience using HR systems and data to drive decision-making and process improvements; ability to travel as needed. Skills and competencies include strategic thinking, change management, conflict resolution, data-driven decision making, communication & influence, project management, cultural competence, legal & regulatory acumen, employee advocacy, and collaboration. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) strongly preferred, familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies, and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with competing priorities.
