Key Responsibilities Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in cooperation with physicians or independently (as per credentialing) Informing patients and families about wellness, prevention, and illness management Prescribing medications and treatment modalities aligned with your scope of practice Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate cohesive, comprehensive care Documenting meticulously in electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner license in California National certifications, such as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a comparable qualification Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure these within 90 days) Distinguishing Skills
