Digital Marketing Specialist
role, reporting to the Vice President, Marketing and Business Development. This is an exciting time for GEON, as we grow both organically and inorganically.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will create digital content, develop strategies, manage online campaigns, and analyze performance to drive measurable sales growth. This individual contributor role is ideal for a professional with experience in mid-to-large manufacturing companies (>$100 million revenue). It requires a hands-on approach, client-service mentality, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with marketing technology tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the company's digital presence, including website content, SEO/SEM, and social media platforms Enhance the GEON website in collaboration with external partners, with a focus on UX and SEO improvements Develop and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns across web, email, social media, and paid channels Source, qualify, and nurture leads through targeted digital strategies (e.g., SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media) Monitor and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and HubSpot; provide actionable insights to improve ROI and lead quality Create and oversee engaging content strategies, including multimedia (videos, graphics, blogs), aligned with brand messaging and business objectives. Collaborate with Business Development, Innovation, and Sales to launch new products, including support of industry events through digital promotion and campaign execution Steward the GEON brand across all digital touchpoints, including third party sites such as distributors and trade associations Ensure compliance with data protection best practices Key Goals & Deliverables:
Website performance metrics such as traffic, SEO rankings, session duration Lead generation numbers, conversion rates, and sales pipeline value Campaign and content engagement metrics (ex: click-through/open rates, social media shares/comments) High quality, error-free marketing content, delivered on time Digital advertising budget management, ensuring strong ROI Skills & Competencies:
Client-service mentality, with ability to bring new and creative ideas to the organization Proficiency in CRM and marketing technology tools and platforms, preferably including HubSpot, Salesforce, and Google Analytics Great eye for detail and insistence on error-free work product Organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, constantly evolving business environment Experience and Education:
5+ years of relevant B2B marketing or communications experience in a manufacturing-related industry, preferably chemicals or plastics Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field is preferred, although equivalent work experience will be considered Proven track record of driving lead generation and sales growth through digital channels Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) strategies preferred Experience supporting sustainability communications preferred Work Environment & Physical Environment:
Typical office setting, regularly performing repeated motions (ex: computer work) and remaining in a stationary position (ex: standing or sitting) for prolonged periods Occasionally required to move through laboratory and manufacturing plants, necessitating adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Work Location and Travel Requirements:
Hybrid role, based in GEON's Westlake, Ohio headquarters 3-4 days/week Minimal travel is anticipated
