A leading global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee two plants located in Sheboygan, WI. This individual will provide direction to a local EHS team and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong, servant-minded leader with proven experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø
Lead and manage the EHS function across two Wisconsin plants.
Ø
Provide direct leadership to four salaried team members: HSE Engineering Specialist, HSE Coordinator, Environmental Engineer, and Safety Supervisor.
Ø
Develop, implement, and manage site-wide health, safety, and environmental programs.
Ø
Foster a culture of safety and compliance through leadership, training, and employee engagement.
Ø
Conduct hazard and risk assessments, analyze trends, and implement proactive corrective actions.
Ø
Manage regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other agencies; serve as the site subject matter expert.
Ø
Oversee and maintain ISO management systems including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
Ø
Prepare and manage annual departmental budgets.
Ø
Provide regular reports and updates to plant and senior leadership.
Ø
Supervise and coordinate training programs to ensure compliance and awareness.
Ø
Partner with corporate and global HSE teams to implement initiatives and share best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, or Safety, OR at least 5 years of progressive HSE management experience in manufacturing.
v
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead a team and influence senior leadership.
v
Servant Leadership mindset strongly .
v
Experience in heavy manufacturing required; Title V environmental experience is a strong plus.
v
Advanced knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
v
Experience managing ISO standards (14001, 45001, 50001) and conducting risk assessments.
v
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization.
v
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern safety tools/systems.
v
OSHA 10 & 30 required; OSHA 500, ASP, and CSP strongly .
v
Must be comfortable with a hands-on, onsite leadership role.
