Active Plus is preparing to host a
major community fundraising event
to support our youth programs in fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and leadership. To make this event a success, we’re building a team of dedicated volunteers to help with
planning, logistics, and promotion . What We’re Looking For We are seeking volunteers with experience (or strong interest) in: Event Planning
- Coordinating logistics, scheduling, and supporting the flow of the event.
Marketing & Outreach
- Helping promote the event through social media, community networks, and local partnerships.
Fundraising Support
- Brainstorming and assisting with creative ways to engage donors and sponsors.
Community Engagement
- Ensuring the event is welcoming and inclusive, with activities that connect with youth, families, and supporters.
Volunteer Responsibilities Attend monthly planning meetings leading up to the event (can be virtual).
Assist with outreach to local businesses, partners, and supporters.
Help coordinate day-of logistics (registration, guest engagement, setup/breakdown).
Support communications (flyers, social media posts, outreach lists).
Offer creative ideas for fundraising activities, raffles, or sponsorship opportunities.

Commitment 2-3 hours a week depending on role.
