Our client, a reputable and forward-thinking engineering firm specializing in water resources, is actively seeking a highly skilled
Water Resources Design Engineer
to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative and impactful water resource management projects either in
Pennsylvania or New Jersey . The compensation for this role goes up to $110K for the most experienced candidate.
Responsibilities: •
Design & Drafting : Prepare layouts, schedules, sketches, and detailed construction drawings from verbal instructions, rough sketches, or simple diagrams. Utilize
Civil 3D ,
Revit , and
AutoCAD
to develop precise engineering drawings for water resources and wastewater infrastructure projects. •
Project Support : Assist in the investigation, planning, and execution of project tasks, including engineering calculations and graphic presentations for specific segments of larger water resource assignments. •
Contract & Shop Drawings : Coordinate and prepare contract drawings and check shop drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance with client specifications. •
Material & Equipment Selection : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, tools, and specifications for wastewater collection and distribution system designs. Under the guidance of senior engineers, research equipment options and contribute to design adjustments or enhancements. •
Collaboration : Collaborate with project teams, contributing to the development of comprehensive design packages while assisting with other related tasks as assigned by the Project Designer/Engineer. •
Quality Assurance : Ensure the accuracy and quality of designs and documentation, actively contributing to the success of the project by maintaining high standards.
Requirements: •
Education : Technical or Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited technical institution or college. •
Experience : A minimum of
4+ years of design experience
in wastewater collection and distribution systems, with a strong understanding of water resources engineering. •
Software Proficiency : Solid experience using
Civil 3D ,
Revit , and
AutoCAD
for engineering design, drafting, and layout creation. •
Technical Expertise : Knowledge of design, calculations, and planning for wastewater systems, including infrastructure, collection, and distribution components. •
Communication & Teamwork : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, clients, and vendors. Must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. •
Attention to Detail : Ability to work meticulously on designs and documents, ensuring precision in all aspects of the engineering process. •
Licensure : While not required, certification or licensure (e.g., Engineer-in-Training) is a plus.
