Pay Information $2,151 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45-19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience - High-risk experience - Immediate newborn care experience Description: This position is responsible for providing nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit. The unit is staffed with a charge nurse, patient care technicians, and surgical technicians during both day and night shifts. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2. The unit has 16 beds and approximately 120 staff members. The equipment used includes Baxter Pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring. The electronic medical record system utilized is Cerner. Typical procedures performed on this unit include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy. Candidates should exhibit an outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality.
