Amazon AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) Finance has an opening for a Finance Manager to own several business partnerships processes for the AGI team. The ideal candidate enjoys diving deep into complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams and thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role also has regular interaction with various business units and leadership and requires strong communication skills.
This person operates with high autonomy and independence, showing high judgment in decisions that have financial, business, operational, or customer implications. We're seeking an innovative, creative, analytical and strategic thinker.
The role specifically will focus on partnering with the business to develop Product Strategy for AGI, streamline procedures for Compute capacity work stream working backwards from launches, and own financial reporting to the AGI Info Business LT.
Key job responsibilities
• Build financial plans for AGI products along with product and business development partners.
• Report monthly spend, and forecast future commitments against customer engagement.
• Report ROI on products and provide leadership with strategic insights on investments.
• Use multiple data sources to build aforementioned reports (e.g. Tableau, PAX, QuickSight, SQL).
• Provide clear analyses on trends and causes of variances. Translate those findings into recommendations that align with Information's monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
• Continuously improve monthly reporting process to make it faster, more accurate, and provide new information.
A day in the life
This role will support the AGI Information organization will drive financial reporting and strategic decision making, including engagement, content acquisition, AWS, and ROI analyses. Given the strategic nature of the AGI business, this is a high visibility role across Alexa and AGI leadership. You will work hand-in-hand with your finance and business partners in Alexa to improve reporting, perform impact analyses, and provide strategic insights and recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
