Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg position requiring an IL RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities Position is in the Cardiovascular Medical-Surgical unit Care provided to post-operative patients including CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery cases Day shift schedule is from 7:00AM to 7:00PM, three 12-hour shifts per week Level 1 Trauma experience required Uses Epic EMR for charting Role includes assessment, development and implementation of care plans, and documentation according to unit standards Responsible for the direct care of cardiovascular surgical patients Hourly rounding and proactive assistance for patients and team members expected Must maintain department and hospital-based competencies RTO not to exceed 7 days over a 13 week contract Candidates cannot have been on assignment at this health system for longer than one year without a six-month break No travel partners are accepted for this assignment Scrub or dress code requirements specific to the department may apply
Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted) Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required; three years preferred Associate degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association Epic EMR experience required Must reside at least 50 miles from facility location (no local candidates accepted)
