Senior Engineer
to support our Navy customer in
Port Hueneme, CA.
Security Clearance:
Applicants must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance. Position/Job Description:
General Tasking Description:
Participate in various meetings including Integrated Product Teams, Waterfront Support, and Engineering Support/Working Groups (i.e. hardware, configuration, fleet, etc.), Data Analysis Working Groups (DAWGs), Enterprise Test and Evaluation Working Groups (TEWGs), Test Control Panels, Readiness Review, Program Managers Reviews, Navy Peer Review Teams, and others. Troubleshoot issues within a system or equipment, which includes identifying, diagnosing, and resolving problems or malfunctions. This process requires investigation, analysis, and testing to determine the root cause of the issue and to implement corrective measures effectively, thereby restoring functionality. Conduct engineering enterprise-level studies and planning, provide test and evaluation support, conduct data collection and analysis, and perform software testing. These efforts are in support of technical assists, Interface Control Document (ICD) development, integration plans, review of integration test data, preparation of integration test plans, development of interface control plans, participation in Interface Control Working Group (ICWG) meetings, development of interface design solutions, creation of interface management plans, addressing interface problems, resolving interface requirements, conducting special studies, and facilitating system/subsystems integration. Review and prepare engineering changes in support of equipment modifications, including but not limited to Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Ordnance Alterations (ORDALTs) and Ship Alterations (SHIPALT). Plan, schedule, coordinate, and develop various documents and plans such as installation documents, project plans, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms). Additionally, the contractor shall present and participate in briefings, meetings, peer reviews, working groups, and product teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment with new construction and modernization goals. Develop drawing revisions in support of engineering changes. Mentor Junior and Mid-Level Engineers on the team. Experience Requirements:
15 years of professional experience providing engineering support. AND a Masters OR
20 years of professional experience providing engineering support. AND a Bachelors. Educational & Certification Requirements:
A master's OR bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with applicable years of experience.
