Senior Medical Director - Hematology Expertise
at Planet Pharma, where you will take on advanced leadership responsibilities within the Pharmacovigilance (PV) physician team. In this role, you will work collaboratively and serve as the primary liaison between the PV physician group and other PV leaders, striving to enhance processes and deliver quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Provide global medical leadership and mentoring to the PV physician team, ensuring high-quality collaboration and guidance. Utilize your clinical and pharmacovigilance expertise to interpret safety and efficacy data, ensuring accurate risk assessment and communication. Establish formal networks with key stakeholders and contribute to strategic process improvements and training development programs. Act as the subject matter expert during audits and inspections, overseeing the quality and compliance of safety reports. Develop policies and propose strategies to address unusual or significant safety issues effectively. Engage in business development activities, providing insight and expertise for proposal development and client communication. Lead medical safety and risk mitigation initiatives, fostering strong client relationships and overseeing study start-up activities. Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management activities within the team. Promote a culture of collaboration, motivation, and accountability in the workplace. Qualifications: M.D. with significant experience in Hematology; expertise in thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) and post bone marrow transplant is highly desirable. At least 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 8 years in a management role. Research experience with at least 1-2 publications. Strong familiarity with regulatory considerations and safety reporting processes, including knowledge of FDA and EMA guidelines. Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills. Ability to mentor effectively, manage direct reports, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
