Fostering at Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno is our greatest need. Fostering is one of the most important volunteer opportunities available with Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno (LRRF). We rely on our foster families to care for our labs while waiting to be adopted by their permanent families. Without YOU we can't take in dogs needing homes, and currently we are having to turn away dogs in need away due to lack of fosters. The Foster Home is the dog’s first step out of homelessness and towards their new forever family. Fostering a dog is extremely rewarding; words cannot describe the feeling of watching a your foster dog thrive and become the beautiful companion that can be placed with a new family. The foster family also provides valuable insight into the dog’s personality so that a good match can be made with a potential adopter. LRRF covers all of the dogs’ veterinary needs, medications and food. Occasionally you may be asked to take a dog to a vet visit or in for spay/neuter. We only work with specific veterinarians and all visits are pre-arranged. We also do our best to provide training and mentoring to you as a foster home.
