Job Description Summary: Our Enterprise Suite Professional Services Team seeks a talented Mainframe Modernization Senior Consultant to play a pivotal role in enhancing our Customers' Digital Transformation through expert technical support and leadership. We offer a comprehensive and proven solution across mainframe modernization's three pillars: application, process, and infrastructure. Become an integral part of a team that is dedicated to achieving unmatched speed to market, competitive advantage, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical skills and relevant project experience in at least one of the following focus areas: Infrastructure modernization Application modernization Process modernization Additionally, you will have the experience to deploy solutions in a Hybrid Cloud environment, transition from monolithic applications to Cloud-Native API Microservices, and implement an enterprise-wide DevOps discipline to accelerate application delivery. Main Responsibilities: Handle complex project tasks with minimal supervision from technical leads and collaborate with Customer/SI representatives. Contribute to the design and assist in deploying Rocket Software products. Work under the guidance of Solution Architects to implement new solutions. Engage with technical forums within the Rocket Software environment and local professional communities. Apply subject matter expertise to address a variety of common technical issues. Use independent judgment within established practices to determine the best course of action. Be an active team member, fostering good relationships with colleagues and clients. Expected Qualifications and Soft Skills: 3-5 years of relevant technical experience. Exceptional communication and customer service skills with a professional telephone demeanor. Proactive, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure. Experience in implementing complex IT projects, including customizations and maintenance. Strong analytical mindset to evaluate test results and facilitate resolution of defects. Organized and methodical, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively. Fluent in both written and spoken English. Technical Skills: Desired technical skills include proficiency in two or more of the following: IBM Enterprise COBOL or PLI programming. System-level expertise in IBM CICS, IMS, and JCL. Knowledge of relational databases such as IBM DB2/UDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Experience with Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems. Familiarity with major Cloud Provider technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker, and Kubernetes. Preferred Project Experience: Practical experience in any mainframe application modernization project is highly beneficial, including: Migration methodologies for mainframe workloads through hardware/middleware emulation, automated code conversion, and re-platforming. COBOL modernization and application code porting across platforms. Agile engineering practices, including Test Automation, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration/Delivery, and DevOps. Data modernization solutions for mainframes, including IMS/DB, IDMS, ADABAS, and VSAM data migration. Implementing and managing DevOps and Agile tools/platforms. Configuring automation pipelines using tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, and Jenkins. Other Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with Rocket Software's COBOL-based products, such as Enterprise Developer and Visual COBOL. Experience with other mainframe languages/environments, including REXX, Assembler, Natural, and Adabas. Relevant Business and IT Architecture Certifications (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, SAFe, etc.). Proficiency in an additional European language. Compensation:

Base salary ranges from $85,820.00 - $107,275.00 per year, with potential variations based on skills, experience, and location.
