Location Description
The Lawrence, Kansas facility is 236,000 square feet and home to about 155 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits®. Lawrence is a college town and the home to both the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University with Kansas State University about 85 miles away. The city is known for a thriving music and art scene and is also the home of the University of Kansas athletic teams.
Responsibilities
Quality Technician
Starting rate:
$27.05 per hour
In the Quality Technician role, you will work:
B Shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Friday 6:00pm-6:00am
Shift Premium: $0.50 per hour
Responsibilities
In the Quality Technician role, you will:
Perform laboratory tests on ingredients and product samples to ensure food safety and quality assurance
Operate and maintain lab equipment to ensure consistent, reliable test results
Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety
Qualifications
The successful candidate (s) for this role will have the following qualifications:
Possess a high school diploma or a GED
Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy
Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability and willingness to communicate with cross functional teams
Lab experience in food manufacturing preferred
