The position is responsible for reviewing the work of two other staff positions and managing Veterans Affairs Work-Study students. The Military Services Records Coordinators (two positions) will coordinate office coverage and leave requests through this position. The person in this role will supervise these staff and conduct annual reviews. The position also performs reconciliation on seven of ten office accounts totaling roughly $3 million per academic year, adjusts student accounts in Banner for VA debt, processes end-of-term certifications, and supports audits (internal and VA) and the VA catalog renewal. The role manages student veteran accounts, the certification process, and any payment of balances from military funding, and supports data collection for events and access management for the Military Resource Center. The position also supports planning of student events, tabling at events, and facilitating orientation and information sessions, as well as Green Zone training. Co-manages the office social media accounts and may represent the office at events with campus or community partners. Responsibilities

SUPERVISION OF STAFF: Hire, supervise and train VA work-study students; report hours to the VA Work-Study Management program; advocate for students with pay issues; supervise two full-time staff and approve their time in OneUSG; monitor work of Military Student Records Coordinators for VA compliance and accurate reporting; support efficient reconciliation of military funding. AUDIT PREPARATION: Gather and submit items for VA and internal audits and annual VA catalog renewal. MANAGE END OF TERM AND ANNUAL REQUIREMENTS: Run end-of-term reports, determine failing grades or grade changes, and terminate students who graduate or are suspended in Enrollment Manager; adjust hours and funds per VA regulations. PROCESS PAYMENTS FROM VETERAN'S AFFAIRS: Review incoming VA payments, advise the Business Office on deposits, resolve funding discrepancies, guide coordinators in obtaining information for resolution, process account adjustments, and conduct monthly reconciliations; support year-end requests. COLLECT/TRACK WAIVERS, CERTIFICATION REQUESTS, ETC: Provide access to the Military Resource Center and track data for waivers, certifications, and event attendance. SPECIAL EVENTS: Assist with planning programs and events; present at orientation, VA Benefits 101, Green Zone, and other events as needed. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Deliver excellent service for walk-ins, calls, and email contacts. OTHER: Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and at least one year of experience managing financial accounts and knowledge of VA regulations and systems. Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; prior supervisory experience; familiarity with Banner. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE: General knowledge of accounting and VA regulations; Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software/databases. SKILLS: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills; problem resolution; public speaking. ABILITIES: Maintain confidentiality; work independently; manage others. Shift/Salary/Benefits
