CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) CompTIA Server+ (or equivalent) VMware VCP-DCV MS Azure Admin AZ-104 (or equivalent)
Basic knowledge and some hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory, including:
Ability to add/remove OUs, Users, Groups, Computers Ability to create basic GPOs
Basic knowledge and hands-on experience troubleshooting, patching, and administering virtual machines in VMware or Hyper-V Knowledge to install and implement hardware or software RAID configurations Knowledge of troubleshooting processes and procedures (OSI model) Associate knowledge of Microsoft O365 products Associate knowledge of Google G-Suite Associate knowledge of Azure Active Directory Associate knowledge of Azure or AWS virtual environments Associate knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN technologies Associate knowledge of Backup systems (e.g., Datto, Veeam, StorageCraft) Associate knowledge of Network Storage devices (SAN and NAS) Associate knowledge of end-point security applications PowerShell knowledge is a huge plus Linux or Apple iOS knowledge is a huge plus Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation What Youll Do: Maintain essential customer-managed IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software and backups devices Troubleshoot, configure, and deploy Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 to meet customer needs Administer MS Office 365, Google G-Suite or other email providers Administer VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments Administer Active Directory and Group Policy in Windows Server OS Troubleshoot server roles and features (File, Print, Web, DHCP, DNS, Domain Controllers) Troubleshoot and modify Azure configurations including Azure AD Troubleshoot basic TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS issues Configure and troubleshoot RAID configurations as needed Configure physical server hardware for optimal performance Build physical servers, install drives, memory and processors Collaborate with engineers and help desk to troubleshoot and resolve issues, maintaining clear communication Manage small to medium projects with minimal supervision Act as Tier 2 escalation for complex issues needing higher-level attention Escalate tickets to Tier 3 when necessary to meet internal SLAs Provide on-call support as part of a rotation (voluntary unless volunteer levels are insufficient) Respond to incidents or service requests via phone, chat, email or ticketing system Use expeditious resolution strategies to improve customer service and satisfaction Prioritize outstanding requests thoughtfully and document resolution processes Follow incidents through to resolution with timely responses and documentation Job Type:
