A regional approach to transportation enhances efficiencies among transportation organizations and ensures regional connectivity for Central Oregon's residents, businesses, and visitors.
Job Purpose: This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of CET vehicles and facilities. This position is also responsible for maintaining bus stops including bus shelters, sign maintenance such as removal or installation of damaged and/or new signage or inserting updated information. Depending on the operation location, may be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the operation facility. Role and Responsibilities: - Cleans the interior of vehicles to include ceilings, windows, seats and floors. Empty trash; report items needing repair to supervisor. - Wash exterior of vehicles. - Completes cleaning/maintenance records. - Perform janitorial duties at various locations such as cleaning restroom(s), vacuuming, emptying the trash and other related tasks as designated by the supervisor. - Perform system maintenance duties such as bus stop cleaning and trash removal, sign maintenance such as removal or installation of damaged and/or new signage or inserting updated information, passenger shelter cleaning. - Perform routine facility and office, cleaning and maintenance functions including such tasks as, but not limited to, removing snow and/or debris to clear bus access at facilities and bus stops , preparing and cleaning up the bus wash area, cleaning shop and other areas within facilities, cleaning up and maintaining parking areas, and cleaning drains and filters. - Assist in moving materials and equipment. - Follow all safety procedures for work areas and work assignments; Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Must have a valid Oregon driver's license and access to a private vehicle or equivalent means of transportation. Ability to safely maneuver large vehicles in and out of vehicle wash bay. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safe work practices. Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions associated when cleaning and routine maintenance work. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Ability to successfully pass a post offer DOT/FTA pre-employment drug test. Must pass a criminal background and driving background check. Must be available for varying shifts. Must maintain client and agency confidentiality. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must be able to read and understand safety material and simple forms. Requires the ability to work independently. Education Requirements: Must be 18 or over.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, and crawl. Employee will work with tools and powered machinery.
