Key Responsibilities Perform thorough patient evaluations, featuring in-depth physical examinations and meticulous medical history assessments Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through comprehensive review of imaging studies and lab results Collaborate with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical plans for patients Provide essential support during surgeries, including room preparation, patient positioning, and instrument handoff Deliver top-notch pre- and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, managing wounds, planning discharges, and educating patients Qualifications
A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Preferred completion of clinical rotations with a strong surgical focus Licenses and Certifications
PA-C certification that is current and unrestricted Certifications in
BLS
and
ACLS
are necessary State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant Essential Skills
