Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the oncology unit, ensuring efficient patient flow and resource utilization. Monitor patient care delivery to ensure adherence to evidence-based practices, hospital policies, and oncology standards. Act as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction within the oncology unit. Candidate requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Recent (within 1 year) 1-year leadership experience in acute care hospital oncology (charge nurse or supervisory role). Active RN license in Texas or compact state. Active ACLS and BLS certifications. ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification is required within 60 days of hire. Advanced certifications like OCN are preferred.
