We are seeking a
Salesforce Communications Cloud DevOps Architect
to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of DevOps practices across our Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) projects. This role is key to enabling scalable, secure, and efficient delivery of Salesforce Communications Cloud solutions especially around OmniStudio, CPQ, Order Management and complex catalog/data model deployments in the telecom domain.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement scalable DevOps pipelines for Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity), including automated deployments of OmniStudio datapacks and telecom data models
Lead source-driven development practices using Salesforce DX, sf CLI, and DevOps Center
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
Define and enforce best practices for Git-based version control, including branching strategy and code review workflows
Integrate automated testing including Apex unit tests, LWC (Jest), and OmniStudio Regression Testing Framework
Establish static code analysis and security scanning standards using Salesforce Code Analyzer (PMD, ESLint) or similar tools
Manage org environments, including sandbox seeding, scratch org automation, and org naming strategies
Lead deployment strategies for EPC and Industries CPQ, including catalog versioning and rollback planning
Collaborate with product teams to define release planning, Definition of Done, and sprint deliverables
Track release KPIs such as change failure rate and mean time to recovery (MTTR), and enable observability via monitoring/logs
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to DevOps engineers and cross-functional delivery teams
Facilitate effective cross-functional communication to align delivery, operations, and business goals
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
8+ years of Salesforce platform experience with at least 2-3 years focused on
Salesforce Communications Cloud (Vlocity)
Deep understanding of OmniStudio, telecom data models, and datapack deployment mechanisms
Proficiency in Salesforce DX, SF CLI, and use of DevOps Center for managing metadata and source control
Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks across Apex, LWCs, and OmniStudio
Hands-on experience with static code analysis and security scanning tools
Proven track record in managing complex deployment lifecycles, environments, and catalog versioning in EPC/Industries CPQ
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery processes and tools
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
Salesforce certifications such as
OmniStudio Consultant ,
Industries CPQ Developer , or
Platform Developer II
are a strong plus
Location / time-zone requirement:
Be based in USA/Europe (due to time-zone) and/or 100% committed to working in customer time-zone (including a possible night-shift arrangements)
