Cohen Recycling
is seeking an experienced
Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO)
to join our team at the
St. Bernard/Vine Street yard, Cincinnati, OH . As an HEO, you'll play a critical role in the safe, efficient, and timely processing of recyclable materials. We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working professional who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and values safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Operate hydraulic cranes, including magnet and grapple work
Operate front-end wheel loaders, bucket, and fork loaders
Safely and efficiently load, move, and handle materials
Collaborate with teammates to ensure timely task completion
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Regularly inspect equipment and perform basic maintenance checks
Support environmental safety by bailing trash and clearing debris
Work independently when necessary and stay productive
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience operating cranes and loaders
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor (standing, bending, kneeling)
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong work ethic with high integrity — trustworthy when working unsupervised
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Schedule
Monday to Friday
Day Shift
Weekends as needed
