Housing Solutions
Outreach Team Lead
Tulsa, OK | Full-Time | Housing Solutions
Do you believe in meeting people where they are? Are you a steady, compassionate leader who can guide a team doing some of the toughest and most important work in our community? Housing Solutions is looking for the
Homeless Street
Outreach Team Lead
to support and supervise Tulsa's front-line street outreach team.
About the Role The Outreach Team Lead plays a dual role: leading a team of outreach specialists and actively participating in street-based engagement. You'll be in the field alongside your staff, building trust with people living outside, responding to crises, and ensuring consistent, professional outreach practices. You'll also provide the structure, coaching, and accountability that help a team thrive in complex, high-pressure situations.
Your day-to-day work will involve assigning caseloads, monitoring progress, coordinating crisis response efforts, and making sure documentation is accurate. You'll lead weekly staff meetings, provide one-on-one coaching, and model best practices in client engagement, safety, and problem-solving. At the same time, you'll represent Housing Solutions in cross-agency outreach efforts, helping to unify Tulsa's community-wide response to unsheltered homelessness.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision, coaching, and accountability for the Outreach Team
Join staff in the field to model effective street outreach practices
Lead daily operations and weekly team meetings, ensuring caseload progress
Coordinate community-wide outreach efforts during severe weather and other community-wide crises
Strengthen relationships with service providers and ensure consistent communication across agencies
Oversee data entry and quality in HMIS, ensuring accurate and confidential documentation
Uphold professional standards of respect, inclusion, and reliability in the field and within the organization
What We're Looking For
Education/Experience:
Associate's Degree in a related field
or
equivalent experience in outreach, case management, or social services
Leadership:
Proven experience supervising or leading a team in a direct service environment
Direct Outreach Experience:
Strong background in street outreach, crisis intervention, or serving people experiencing homelessness
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead with accountability and compassion
Knowledge:
Familiarity with local homeless services and resources
Tech:
Proficiency with HMIS and Microsoft Office tools
Mindset:
Calm under pressure, adaptable, and committed to solution-focused problem-solving
Why Join Housing Solutions? Housing Solutions is Tulsa's lead agency for ending homelessness. Our Outreach Team is on the front lines of that mission, working every day to build trust, reduce harm, and connect people to the support they need. As Team Lead, you'll play a vital role in shaping this work while building a strong, professional, and compassionate team culture.
If you're ready to bring both leadership and hands-on outreach experience to this mission-driven role, we'd love to hear from you.
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education, criminal records, and other relevant information. Positions that require driving as part of the job will also require a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
