Position Summary: The Associate Director of Sterile Processing provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the operations of the Sterile Processing department. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, risk management and operational functions. The Associate Director contributes to strategic planning and program development and maintains 24 hour accountability. The Associate Director performs delegated duties and functions within the philosophy and overall scope of responsibility. The Associate Director displays positive support for the values and mission of Wesley Medical Center. Understands and enforces system, department, and hospital policy and procedures as well as established rules and regulations. Ensures daily readiness of staff and department for JCAHO and other regulatory agencies. The Associate Director reports up to the VP of Surgical Services. Qualifications
