Office environment Responsibilities: (Described as essential functions of the job): Issue offer letters and track acceptances/declines Responsible for onboarding process and clearing employees to begin working Assure all benefit information is updated and available to employees Responsible for assuring all employee information is entered, updated and correct in the HR/Benefits and Payroll databases Train employees on current Policies and Procedures Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state and local legislation Assure all required training has been set up and completed Review, maintain and build policies Work cohesively to maintain guidelines for day-to-day HR processes Conduct initial investigations relating to employee relations issues Ability to work with confidential information and to apply maturity and discretion in a daily operational role Prepare termination and severance letters Special Skills: Ability to work independently as well as with management and employees, including those with diverse backgrounds Ability to prioritize assignments, and work on multiple deadline-driven priorities Knowledge of federal, state and local HR-related laws Excellent oral and written communications skills Skilled in problem solving and conflict resolution Experienced with HRIS and Microsoft Office SAP and Paychex knowledge helpful Ability to observe, understand, and interpret ambiguous issues and apply critical thinking strategies to find solutions Assist in execution of annual processes, including but not limited to performance management, promotions and career development
