Join Opterra Solutions and take the lead in maintaining stormwater systems that protect communities and the environment. As a Field Service Technician II, you'll operate heavy equipment, apply herbicides, and guide crews - all while working in diverse outdoor settings.
What You'll Do • Lead field crews and train junior techs • Operate mowers, excavators, UTVs, and more • Apply herbicides and manage vegetation • Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance • Communicate with customers and document work via mobile apps • Ensure safety and compliance with environmental standards
What You Bring • 1+ years of field experience • Valid driver's license and clean record • DOT medical card eligibility • Tech-savvy and safety-focused • Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions • Completion of Field Tech I training or equivalent • Our five core values (Safety, Others, Integrity, Initiative, and Passion)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must have the ability to sit, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-11 hours a day • Must have the ability to routinely lift, push, pull, or move equipment of 50 pounds or more • Must have the ability to withstand exposure to various weather conditions while completing work assignments (rain, heat, humidity, sun, etc.) • Must have the ability to work around water and walk, stand, and move through diverse types of terrain such as uneven ground and sloped embankments • Must have the ability to work within confined spaces • Must be willing to be in close proximity to wildlife that live in stormwater environments such as snakes, stinging insects, spiders, and other species • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary
