ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs duties and troubleshoots in all areas of sterile processing to include decontamination, assemble, sterilization of advanced instrumentation and equipment while adhering to the manufacturer and department guidelines. Identifies and inspects instruments for cleanliness and functionality. Operates and troubleshoots equipment. Maintains safety standards. Prepares case carts and delivers instrumentation to the operating room. Stocks operating room par levels for stored instrumentation and emergency carts.
EDUCATION Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Completion of a Sterile Processing Program. WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: 2 years Hospital-based sterile processing experience. or Required: With preferred education, no experience required. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required: CRCST - Certified and Registered Central Service Technician Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA). Upon Hire or Required: CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD).
