The 92nd Medical Group at Fairchild AFB near Spokane with Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs).

The Pediatric NPs or PAs are expected to perform the following:

Conduct comprehensive pediatric assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections in pediatric patients. Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and ordering therapies. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging, and screenings. Administer immunizations and ensure adherence to pediatric vaccination schedules. Provide guidance on nutrition, growth and development, and preventive healthcare. Assist in minor procedures and emergency care as needed. Collaborate with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate families on disease prevention, home care, and treatment adherence. Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine and participate in continuing education. Requirements

Degree/Education: If a Pediatric Physician Assistant: from an accredited PA program. Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). (preferred) If a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner: Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-Primary Care or PNP-Acute Care) by a recognized certifying body (e.g., PNCB or ANCC). If a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner: Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP Primary Care or PNP-Acute Care) by a recognized certifying body (e.g., PNCB or ANCC). Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). (preferred) Valid BLS Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in state of practice. DEA registration and prescriptive authority as required by state law. Minimum 24 months of experience in pediatric nursing or a related field (preferred) Physician Assistant license. Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pediatric patients and their families.

$100,000 - $135,000
