Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Chemist II to join our team. The candidate will perform a range of laboratory testing and support functions to ensure the quality and integrity of our products. The role requires expertise in both wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, contributing to our continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Conduct testing including TLC, FT-IR, and composition testing with proficiency in following USP monographs and general chapters.

Perform wet chemistry testing such as loss on drying, pH, titrations, and solution preparations.

Support daily laboratory operations including glassware cleaning, solvent waste disposal, and daily/weekly balance calibrations.

Assist upper-level Quality Control Chemists as needed.

Perform strength testing using HPLC, GC, and/or ICP.

Contribute to process and continuous improvement efforts.

Complete all other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Lab Supervisor/Management.

Willingly work holidays and weekends as requested.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in chemistry, HPLC, and gas chromatography.

Experience in wet chemistry and quality control under GMP conditions.

Ability to operate, analyze data, and troubleshoot general lab instrumentation.

Capability to interpret data based on internal specifications and USP requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and manage samples efficiently.

Adaptability to learn and adhere to cGMP, 21 CFR 111, SOPs, and Batch Records.

Knowledge of 21 CFR 210 and 211 is desirable.

Proficiency in computer software such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.

Work Environment

The work environment is a laboratory setting that involves handling chemicals and operating various lab instruments. The role may require working on holidays and weekends as needed. The candidate should be comfortable with the dress code appropriate for a laboratory environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
