CTR Group is seeking a Senior Engineer - Navy Habitability Improvements to work at Ft. Monroe in the Hampton, VA area.

SUMMARY:

Seeking an Engineer with full Engineering degree (not Technology) and 10 years of US Navy experience with a focus on habitability.

REQUIREMENTS: B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or Naval Architecture from an accredited college or university or a Professional Engineer license. Requires a minimum of 10 years of recent experience in the operation, maintenance, design, or testing of U.S. Navy or military type ship's components. 2 years of the last five 5 years must have been involved with work related to U.S. Navy habitability improvements which involved a working knowledge of shipboard habitability standards and conditions. This can include Hull outfitting arrangements, potable water, seawater flushing, soil drains, gray water drains (CHT), electrical lighting and general components of these areas of ship. Crew, troop, and officer Berthing spaces, Sanitary spaces, and commissary spaces are description of types of spaces. Working experience and knowledge of the engineering aspects of the ship modernization process including ship surveys, design, material requirements, specifications, and material procurement sources. Knowledge of U.S. Navy organizations: functions, and responsibilities or similar organization, functions, and responsibilities. Must hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
