Senior Quality Engineer

We're looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Quality Engineer to join our Spartanburg, SC team! In this role, you'll lead quality and reliability initiatives that directly impact our customers and manufacturing operations. You'll collaborate with a skilled operations team, applying RBS (Ralliant Business System) tools and Lean Manufacturing principles to elevate performance and exceed expectations. In this role you will: Establish and implement quality practices aligned with operations, customer expectations, and company standards. Champion a culture of quality across all functions. Lead problem solving with urgency: Drive the Problem Solving Process and 8D corrective action efforts for major quality issues impacting assembly and production. Timely resolution is critical to maintaining operational flow and customer satisfaction. Own site-level quality metrics, analyzing trends to identify systemic risks and drive long-term improvements. Lead material review processes for non-conforming materials. Facilitate cross-functional discussions with Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers to resolve production-impacting issues with speed and precision. Support Supply Chain in qualifying new suppliers and exiting high-risk ones based on clear risk assessments to protect product integrity and delivery timelines. Drive continuous improvement in quality and productivity using RBS/LEAN Manufacturing principles. Encourage teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions with urgency. Lead internal and external audits (i.e. ISO, ETL, UL) with a focus on readiness and responsiveness. Ensure findings are addressed promptly and thoroughly. Act as Ex Authorized Person: Coordinate manufacturing processes related to Ex Products, including oversight of externally provided products, services, and processes. Ensure compliance and rapid response to any deviations. Work onsite to engage directly with production teams and equipment to uphold and improve quality standards. On your first day, we'll expect that you'll have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field. 5-10 years of progressive experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, with proven leadership in driving site-wide quality initiatives. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in manufacturing or engineering environments. Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.). Proven ability to solve complex problems under pressure using structured methodologies (CAPA, 8D, RCA, Fishbone). Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive cross-functional alignment. Proven leadership applying ISO standards, LEAN methodologies, and supplier quality management across complex manufacturing environments. Proven ability to mentor and influence cross-functional teams, with experience managing or developing quality talent. Pay Range: The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 65,100.00 - 120,900.00
